Ligue 1 2025-2026: Lyon-Rennes, the probable formations

The 32nd day of Ligue 1 is completed on Sunday, with five matches spread between the early afternoon. Opening the dances is the 3 p.m. challenge between Lille and Le Havre: LOSC wants the three points to continue the race for third place, which is worth entry to the Champions League Phase without going through the preliminaries, reserved instead for the fourth-place finishers. The guests, on the other hand, are looking for useful points to close salvation talks, which are back in the balance after two and a half months without a win.

The game then continues at 5 p.m.15 with three matches scheduled: Auxerre, currently third-last (a position that would be worth a play-off against the third of Ligue 2 at the end of the season), hosts a relatively quiet Angers; the Paris FC of Italians Coppola, Koleosho and Immobile plays at home against Brest to try to climb back to the left side of the standings; Strasbourg, fresh from the knockout in the first leg of the Conference League semifinals, plays at home with a Toulouse that has nothing more to ask of the season.

The day’s championship will close with the 8:45 p.m. match between Lyon and Rennes: the men led by Paulo Fonseca must defend their third place from the assault of the Rossoneri themselves, as well as Lille, in a Champions race that is very balanced if we exclude the first two positions, already largely the prerogative of PSG and Lens.

Probable lineups

LILLE (4-2-3-1): Greif; Maitland-Niles, Mata, Niakhate, Abner; Tessmann, Morton; Endrick, Tolisso, Moreira; Yaremchuk. All. Fonseca.

RENNES (4-3-3): Samba; Seidu, Boudlal, Brassier, Merlin; Blas, Rongier, Camara; Al-Taamari, Embolo, Lepaul. All. Haise.
