A Treviso man for Cantù

Andrea Gracis has ended his experience with Apu Udine: after last season’s promotion to the A division, the Friulians retained the category without great difficulty.
Next year, the Treviso-born executive, born in 1960, could still be at the start of the top series: there are rumors of an interest from Pallacanestro Cantù, which could part with Alessandro Santoro.
As an alternative, the Brianzoli are also considering the figure of Alessandro Bolognesi, given to the credits with Rimini. In Udine everything leads to Andrea Conti.
In Cantù’s house, after all, the summer market promises to be eventful on several fronts. The salvation won on the last day-thanks to the simultaneous defeat of Dinamo Sassari against Virtus Bologna-allowed the Brianza club to breathe a sigh of relief, but it also highlighted the need for decisive action on the roster. Among the club’s first moves there has already been the early termination of the contract with Xavier Sneed, a 1997-class American forward who, despite a contribution judged decisive for staying in Serie A, said goodbye to Desio practically in the aftermath of the salvation to settle at Hapoel Jerusalem.
The figure of Alessandro Santoro, whose future thus appears uncertain, has been central in the construction of the Canturina roster since his return to Serie A. It was precisely the Brianza general manager who orchestrated, in the summer of 2025, major market operations such as the signing of Malian center Oumar Ballo and the renewal of Italian forward Grant Basile, confirmed until the end of the 2026-27 season. Planning work that had also convinced Basile himself to bet on the Biancoblù project in the top league.
