Jannik Sinner, rocket start with Medvedev

Jannik Sinner is in a hurry, perhaps to avoid the risk of rain.

The world number one got off to a strong start in the semifinal of the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome against Daniil Medvedev. At the Foro Italico, the Azzurro closed 6-2 in the first set in half an hour, showing great determination and supremacy on the court also thanks to an extraordinary match approach.

The South Tyrolean champion in fact immediately broke the Russian player in the first game, at the end of several prolonged exchanges. Then he retorted in the third game, breaking the Moscow player again. On his service turns, however, he was excellent, closing the first two games to nil.

Medvedev managed to get into the match after only twenty minutes, winning the first game at serve, but Sinner on serve was relentless with the first and closed the set 6-2 making the audience of the Central court at the Foro Italico rejoice. The Blue is one set away from qualifying for the final.
