Jannik Sinner ushers in his 75th week at the top of the ATP rankings. A prestigious milestone that the South Tyrolean would have liked to accompany with success at Roland Garros, which faded at the end of a tournament that instead crowned Alexander Zverev. The German won the first Slam title of his career on the Parisian clay, breaking a long wait in Major tournaments.

Despite the French disappointment, Sinner firmly retains his world record with 13,500 points. In fact, the Italian number one maintains a wide margin over both Carlos Alcaraz, second with 9,960 points and stopped by a wrist problem, and the newly crowned Roland Garros champion Zverev, third at 7,305. A strong position that allows the Italian to look forward to his upcoming engagements, starting with Wimbledon, where he will be hunting for the first Slam title of his 2026 season.

Behind the leading trio, the ranking sees the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in fourth place, followed by the American Ben Shelton and the Australian Alex de Minaur. Slipping to seventh place, however, is Novak Djokovic, who drops three places after the Paris tournament. Completing the top ten are Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz and Flavio Cobolli, the protagonist of an extraordinary Roland Garros culminating with the final and rewarded with entry among the world’s top ten players.

Among the other Italians, Lorenzo Musetti drops to world number 16 after missing Roland Garros due to injury, losing five positions compared to the previous ranking. Behind him is confirmed Luciano Darderi, number 18, bringing to four the number of Italians present in the top 20 of the ranking.

Also noteworthy are the important ascents of Matteo Arnaldi and Matteo Berrettini. The former, author of an excellent run in Paris interrupted before the semifinal against Cobolli, gains a good 70 positions and rises to world number 34. Berrettini, thanks to the quarterfinals reached at Roland Garros, recovers 57 places and moves up to No. 48. Further back are Lorenzo Sonego, number 66 in the ATP rankings, and Mattia Bellucci, number 78.
