Juventus Transfer Market: Emiliano Martinez Is Closer

Emiliano Martinez’s future seems increasingly likely to lie away from Aston Villa. Rumors are circulating in England that the Argentine goalkeeper has already informed the club of his intention to move on, believing his time in Birmingham has come to an end. This situation echoes what happened last summer, when the World Cup-winning number one was close to a transfer to Manchester United. Any potential move is expected to be finalized after the World Cup.
Among the clubs most interested is Juventus, which continues to closely monitor the 1992-born goalkeeper. The Bianconeri are reportedly ready to offer him a three-year deal worth €5.5 million per season, with the addition of a signing bonus to partially offset the difference compared to his current Premier League salary. Despite his contract with Aston Villa running through 2028, Martinez is reportedly willing to take a pay cut in order to embark on a new adventure.
In Turin, the Argentine goalkeeper is considered the ideal candidate to take over between the posts and become a key figure in the team led by Luciano Spalletti. However, the hurdle of his transfer fee remains: the English club continues to ask for a figure between 15 and 20 million euros, while Juventus’ initial offers have not yet met the Villans’ demands. It will therefore be up to the new CEO, Giovanni Carnevali, to work toward finding common ground and try to bring the negotiations to a successful conclusion.
