Ousmane Diop’s contribution to the final push that allowed Olimpia Milano to claim its 32nd league title in club history was undeniable. The big man played some quality minutes, so much so that he became a fan favorite among the red-and-white crowd.

Until a few weeks ago, his future seemed set in stone. Many clubs were on his trail, particularly Pallacanestro Varese, which was determined to make him the cornerstone of its team. However, after winning the championship, something changed. Ousmane Diop isn’t going anywhere.

To the delight of all EA7 fans, the Senegalese center will continue his journey in the red-and-white jersey. He has signed a two-year deal, confirming how much the club has appreciated his performance on the court.

Coach Peppe Poeta is also satisfied; given Josh Nebo’s departure, he will still be able to count on the energy of Ousmane Diop, a truly valuable player who can always be relied upon. Following the confirmation of Ousmane Diop, more official announcements are expected. Diego Flaccadori also appears set to remain in Milan. Nico Mannion’s future is more complicated.
