Jannik Sinner has not officially taken the court since May 28, when he lost in the second round of Roland Garros to Juan Manuel Cerundolo. It was a bitter defeat, marked by obvious physical problems that forced the world No. 1 to leave the court as the loser.

Nearly a month later, Jannik Sinner is ready to return to competition. The Italian will make his season debut on grass by participating in the 2026 Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic. The organizers of this exclusive exhibition event, hosted by the Hurlingham Club in London, have also officially announced the name of his opponent: Cameron Norrie. A “tough” opponent who will help the South Tyrolean gauge his physical condition after several weeks of recovery.

Briton Cameron Norrie, a former No. 8 in the ATP rankings, was a semifinalist at Wimbledon in 2022. The two have faced each other only once on the main tour, most recently in the round of 16 at the Madrid Masters 1000, where Sinner prevailed in two sets, 6-2, 7-5, on clay.

The match against Cameron Norrie will be broadcast live on SuperTennis, available for free over-the-air, while the stream will be available on supertennis.tv and on the SuperTenniX platform for subscribers.
