Torino is evaluating several players to revamp the defense of Ignazio Abate’s squad. Among the names on the list is Andrea Giorgini, a center back born in 2002 who is owned by Sudtirol and played on loan at Juve Stabia last season.

The Granata are ready to return to the negotiating table with the South Tyroleans: Giorgini was already on the Piedmontese club’s radar during the last transfer window, but the deal never materialized. Now Torino wants to understand Sudtirol’s demands in order to finalize the deal in the coming weeks. Abate knows him well, having coached him last season: Giorgini was one of his key players, whom he almost never left out of the lineup, with a total of 38 appearances.

The other name in the spotlight for the defense is Daniel Tonoli, a Modena center back who has made headlines for scoring 17 goals over the past three years. According to reports in *La Stampa*, the player fits the profile of the defender Petrachi is looking for: physically strong but also skilled at playing the ball out of defense.

Abate has given his full support to the move, and positive relations with Modena could facilitate the deal. According to rumors, Tonoli could join the club for around 5 million euros.
