Switzerland and Canada take the field at 9 p.m. on Wednesday (Italian time) in Vancouver for their match on the third day of Group B play at the 2026 World Cup in North America. Both teams are tied for first place with 4 points and are vying for the top spot in the group: the Swiss drew with Qatar and defeated Bosnia 4-1, while the hosts drew with Bosnia in their opener and routed Qatar 6-0. A draw would favor the Canadians, who, thanks to goal differential, would finish at the top of the group.

Yakin is relying on Embolo as center forward, supported by Ndoye, Manzambi (who was decisive against Bosnia), and Vargas. In midfield will be veterans Freuler and Xhaka, with Widmer and Rodriguez as the two fullbacks.

Jesse Marsch is starting with David: the Juventus forward scored a hat trick against Qatar in the last match. Larin will play alongside him, with former Inter player Buchanan and Ali Ahmed on the wings. Eustaquio will partner Saliba in midfield.
