A Sunday of High Viewership for Motorsports on Sky

A Sunday of strong viewership for motorsports on Sky: the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix, broadcast live starting at 3 p.m. on Sky Sport F1, Sky Sport Uno, and Sky Sport 4K, drew an average total audience of 1,604,000 viewers, with a 14.9% share and 2,049,000 unique viewers.

The free-to-air delayed broadcast on TV8 at 6:30 p.m. also received an excellent response, attracting an average of 1,248,000 viewers (10.7% share). The post-race studio coverage also performed very well, attracting an average of 472,000 viewers in the total audience, a 5% share, and over 1,200,000 unique viewers.

Record-breaking numbers were also posted by MotoGP, which achieved its best result of the season both on Sky and in the delayed broadcast on TV8. The Dutch Grand Prix, broadcast live starting at 2:00 p.m. on Sky Sport MotoGP and Sky Sport Uno, drew over 837,000 average total viewers, with a 7.1% share and 1,071,000 unique viewers. The 4:00 p.m. free-to-air delayed broadcast on TV8 also performed exceptionally well, drawing an average of 1,110,000 viewers and achieving a 10.5% share.

This success extended to Sky Sport’s digital and social media platforms as well. As for Formula 1, the website recorded 438,000 unique users, 2.8 million page views, and 481,000 video views, while social media channels generated 600,000 interactions and a whopping 11 million video views.

Excellent results were also seen on the MotoGP front, with the website totaling 253,000 unique users, 1.2 million page views, and 300,000 video views, accompanied by exceptional social media results of 597,000 interactions and 10 million video views.
