MotoGP: It’s Official Now—Yamaha Chooses Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura to Get Back on Track

It’s now official: Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura are Yamaha’s new factory riders for the 2027 and 2028 seasons. Two top-tier riders set to return to the fight for the MotoGP title.
Jorge Martin, the current leader in the MotoGP World Championship, was the best option on the market. Keep an eye on Ai Ogura as well, the recent winner of the Dutch Grand Prix. The two will take replace Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins, who are leaving the team at the end of the current season.
With the Martin-Ogura duo, Yamaha is preparing to enter a new era of MotoGP (with new rules and a technical revolution set to begin next year), aiming to be a major contender.
