Rafael Leao Still in Italy, but Not at Milan? Since Tuesday morning, sensational rumors have been circulating about the future of the Portuguese forward, who has just finished his World Cup in North America. The Rossoneri winger really stood out during the match against Croatia, where he provided the decisive assist, though he failed to make an impact against Spain.

Leao is not part of Milan’s plans, and even the arrival of coach Ruben Amorim won’t change that. The player has reiterated his decision to leave on three separate occasions, and both his agents and the Rossoneri are looking for buyers for his contract. At the moment, the only concrete offers have come from the Saudi Pro League, but Leao wants to stay in top-tier soccer and is primarily looking toward the Premier League.

But in the end, he might choose to stay in Italy: according to Il Messaggero, Milan has offered the player to Roma. Gasperini is on the hunt for a winger, and the difficulties in signing Mason Greenwood are pushing the Roman club to seek alternatives: Milan would be willing to loan him out, but with an obligation to buy for a fee set at around 60 million euros. For now, Roma has taken a wait-and-see approach and may revisit the player later if the Greenwood deal does not materialize.

In recent days, Barcelona’s interest has emerged strongly: the Blaugrana have approached the Rossoneri to inquire about the player. However, the Catalans are held back by Milan’s asking price, which won’t drop below 60–70 million euros and, above all, won’t accept loan deals with an option to buy. De Zerbi’s Tottenham is also said to have made inquiries.
