The two tennis phenoms will face off at 2:30 p.m. Italian time on Friday, July 10, on Center Court: Both have had enough time to recover from the exertions of the first ten days of the tournament, which presented no small number of challenges for both the South Tyrolean and the former world No. 1, starting right from the first round. After defeating Arthur Rinderknech and Roman Safiullin, the Serbian was put to a grueling test by Felix Auger-Aliassime: 7-6(10), 3-6, 6-3, 6(4)-7, 7-6(10-4) was the final score of a true marathon match that lasted over five hours.

Friday’s match will be the twelfth overall meeting between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic, with the South Tyrolean leading the head-to-head series 6-5. At Wimbledon, however, Djokovic has won twice: 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in the 2022 quarterfinals and 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(4) in the 2023 semifinals. Sinner, however, won their most recent match on the London grass, in the 2025 semifinals, with a score of 6-3, 6-3, 6-4. The two faced off this year in the semifinals of the Australian Open, with Djokovic winning 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
