Olimpia Milano Is Becoming More and More International: A Cypriot Player Joins the Team

Olimpia Milano continues to work on finalizing the roster that will be entrusted to Peppe Poeta and has reportedly identified Moses Wright as its top target to strengthen the frontcourt.
The American center, who also holds a Cypriot passport, seemed all but certain to sign a multi-year contract with Barcelona. However, the uncertainty currently surrounding the Catalan club—which is still searching for a head coach following Xavi Pascual’s departure—is said to have prompted the player to reconsider his future.
To break free from his contract with the Blaugrana, Wright would need to exercise a buyout clause of approximately 900,000 euros. This is where Milan has stepped in, seeing the 1998-born player as the ideal candidate to carry on the legacy of Josh Nebo, who has just moved to Barcelona.
In his final season with the Lithuanian team Zalgiris Kaunas, Wright proved his worth in the EuroLeague, averaging 13.2 points and 6.5 rebounds in less than 24 minutes of playing time.
