For Stephens, it’s a return to Sardinia

Dinamo Sassari’s new acquisition, 1989 class DeShawn Stephens, is ready to make himself available to coach Piero Bucchi.

For the big forward it is the second experience in Sardinia, after the one in the 2017-18 season with the Dinamo Cagliari’s jersey.

“My experience in Sardinia was wonderful and it was easy to decide to come back here because what I found at the level of relationships and environment in Cagliari was special. These have been quite hectic days between travels and visits, now I can only try to speed up the process of fitting in and I can’t wait to step on the parquet,” explained the U.S. player during the presentation stapa conference.

“I don’t feel pressure, I’m here to do my job and do what was asked of me which is to bring positivity, play hard and with energy-this is a very good team and I’m convinced we can do well,” Stephens admitted.

Finally, a look at personal goal: “My goal is always to improve myself every day, game after game: definitely in these years I have grown, I have acquired more sense of the game, basketball IQ, I have refined the ability to read on offense and defense.”
