Fàres Ghedjemis’s future may lie away from Frosinone. The Algerian playmaker, born in 2002, arrived in Ciociaria in January 2024 and has become one of the most sought-after players on Massimiliano Alvini’s team after playing a key role in the club’s promotion to Serie A.

Fresh off his World Cup experience with the Algerian national team, Ghedjemis has particularly caught the attention of two foreign clubs. According to Footmercato.net, in addition to Monaco’s well-known interest, Besiktas—which recently bolstered its attack with Dusan Vlahovic—has also been actively pursuing him.

Monaco has reportedly already submitted a new offer to Frosinone and is currently the player’s preferred destination. Besiktas, however, could try to tip the scales by putting a more lucrative contract on the table to convince the Algerian to move to Turkey.

Meanwhile, the two Scottish clubs that had expressed interest in recent weeks—Celtic and Rangers—appear to have stepped back.

Frosinone now finds itself having to navigate the transfer market regarding one of its most valuable players. Last season, Ghedjemis made 38 appearances and scored 15 goals across the league and the Coppa Italia, statistics that have significantly increased interest in him. The coming weeks will be decisive in determining whether he will remain with the Giallazzurri to compete in Serie A or continue his career abroad
