Inter Transfer News: The player has been informed—he must leave

Inter’s transfer campaign is nearing its conclusion, with just one final piece remaining: Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones. An agreement with the player has been in place for some time, and he is pushing for a transfer, but the Nerazzurri have yet to seal the deal: they would prefer to first offload a surplus player from Cristian Chivu’s squad.
Brazilian winger Luis Henrique will be the first to leave. According to the latest reports, the player has received a clear and direct message from the club to find another team as soon as possible. The former Marseille player has gotten the message, and his agents are working to find him a new club before the end of this transfer window.
The club in the lead for Luis Henrique is Roma, which has been working on this deal for several weeks. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi are in talks with Inter regarding a loan with an obligation to buy. Once they reach an agreement with the Milan-based club, they will meet with the player to finalize the terms of his contract. Roma had also set their sights on Tottenham fullback Destiny Udogie for the wingback position, but Gian Piero Gasperini preferred Luis Henrique due to his versatility.
Once the transfer of Luis Henrique is finalized, Inter will have the green light to close the deal for Curtis Jones. The Nerazzurri have already formally opened negotiations with Liverpool. The Reds, stung by the free-agent departures of Salah and Konaté, have revised their financial demands: while they initially asked for 40 million, they are now reportedly willing to let the midfielder go for around 30 million plus bonuses. Jones’s contract expires in 2027, and Liverpool has no intention of risking losing him for free next summer. A telling sign also emerged in recent days when the Englishman “liked” a post by John Stones, who had celebrated the goal he scored on his debut against Betis Seville.
