The European Championship continues with another 3-0 victory for the women’s national volleyball team, which—on the fourth day of Group D play—defeated Slovakia without dropping a single set (25-19, 25-18, 25-20) on the fourth day of Group D play, remaining firmly in contention for first place in the group—a spot they would secure with a victory in their final group match against France.
The star of the match was Paola Egonu, who led all scorers with 14 points. On the other side, Zuzana Sepelova’s 13 points—the best among the Slovakians—were not enough.
