Lazio Transfer Market: The Biancocelesti Are Seriously Pursuing the Juventus Forward

Lazio is looking to bolster its attack: the Biancocelesti have approached Juventus about Edon Zhegrova, a forward set to leave the Bianconeri after a difficult season.

The Rome-based club has identified the player as a potential alternative up front to Gustav Isaksen and Mattia Zaccagni. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio has made a concrete move by proposing a loan without an obligation to buy, and Juventus is open to letting the player go to a Serie A club.

The Kosovar forward earns approximately 2.5 million euros, a figure within reach for the Biancocelesti, who are ready to finalize the deal. Last season, Zhegrova played 19 games in Serie A without scoring. Matteo Cancellieri could take his place in the attack. According to Sky Sport, Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa has set its sights on the winger, born in 2002, and the deal is reportedly at an advanced stage, with the Rossoblù ready to make their move as soon as the player gives the green light for a transfer to Liguria. In recent weeks, Fiorentina, Torino, and Parma had also shown interest in Cancellieri, but never followed through. Last season, the forward made 35 league appearances, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

Lazio has already made decisive moves in the attacking market this summer transfer window: the Biancocelesti have officially announced the permanent signing of Andrea Pinamonti from Sassuolo. The player arrived on a permanent basis for approximately 12 million euros.
