Lazio heads into the final stretch of the transfer window in high spirits after a perfect start to the season. The Biancocelesti have earned six points in the first two matchdays, winning 1-0 first on the road against Bologna and then at the Olimpico against Genoa. On both occasions, the resurgent Frattesi made his mark, proving immediately decisive after his return to the capital.

With their strong start on the field behind them, attention now shifts to the final transfer moves. Management still needs to resolve several issues, particularly regarding player departures, before it can complete the roster with any new signings. The priority is to find new homes for players deemed less essential to the team’s technical plan, thereby freeing up roster spots and financial resources. This need has been a constant throughout the Biancocelesti’s transfer window, marked by a constant search for a balance between incoming and outgoing players.

To bolster the offense, Albert Gudmundsson’s name has gained traction in recent hours. Lazio is in talks with Fiorentina regarding a possible loan transfer for a fee of one million euros, with a buyout clause set at 16 million. A favorable factor is the Icelandic player’s willingness to join Lazio, as he has reportedly given the club priority over other options.

Talks are ongoing, and there is room to reach a deal. Before moving full steam ahead, however, Lazio will need to finalize a few player sales: it will be these departures that determine the timing and feasibility of any final moves in the transfer market.
