Turin Transfer Market: The Belghali Saga Has Come to an End

The lengthy negotiations for Rafik Belghali are nearing a conclusion. After coming very close to joining Sassuolo and even drawing interest from Olympiacos, the Algerian winger has chosen Torino as his next destination. Torino has reached an agreement with Hellas Verona and is preparing to finalize the deal in the coming hours.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Belghali is expected to undergo a physical today. Once he passes the exams, the player will be able to sign his contract with Torino and begin his new adventure in Serie A. This reinforcement comes after a difficult start to the season for Torino, who remain stuck at zero points after the first few matchdays.
The deal was finalized based on Verona’s financial demands, as the club refused to lower the player’s valuation. Torino will pay approximately 7 million euros to the Gialloblù club, which will also retain a percentage of any future resale.
For Verona, this is therefore a financially significant deal, especially considering its current participation in the Serie B league. The parties have reached an agreement, and Belghali has already received authorization to travel to complete the final bureaucratic steps.
This brings to a close a transfer saga that had involved several clubs in recent weeks. Sassuolo had come very close to signing the player, while Olympiacos had also expressed interest later on. In the end, it was Torino that stepped up and secured the necessary agreement to bring Belghali to the Granata.
