From copious tears on the day of his exoneration as Roma coach to the joy of his new, rich contract on Arab soil. Mourinho, according to Arab media, has already struck a deal to coach in Saudi Arabia. Specifically, he is expected to become the new coach of Al-Shabab, a Saudi Pro League club, currently 11° in the standings (among its ranks is also former Inter midfielder Banega, captain of the team).

The PIF fund that manages many top clubs in the Saudi Pro League had already tried to convince Mourinho to leave Europe for Saudi Arabia last summer. If the rumors are confirmed, here is the Portuguese will finally become one of the many new stars of Arab soccer. The terms of the alleged deal are not yet known but, surely, the offer will be princely.

A small curiosity. If Mourinho becomes the new coach of Al-Shabab he may have to face his former team, namely Roma. The Giallorossi, due to agreements with their main sponsor, are expected in Saudi Arabia next Jan. 24. De Rossi's Roma will take on the very Al-Shabab in a friendly that could be very special: Mourinho against his very recent past.
