Juventus Transfer Market: Woltemade Officially Signed, and One More Last-Minute Signing. David Leaves, Koopmeiners Deal Rejected

Two arrivals and one departure for Juventus on the final day of the summer transfer window. The Bianconeri have officially announced the signing of Nick Woltemade from Newcastle, also disclosing the financial details of the deal. “Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with Newcastle United FC for the acquisition, on a temporary basis through June 30, 2027, of the sporting rights of the player Nick Woltemade for a fee of €2.8 million, plus ancillary costs totaling €0.8 million. This fee may be increased, during the term of the player’s contract, by an amount not exceeding €0.5 million, upon the achievement of certain sporting objectives.”

Late in the afternoon, the Bianconeri also officially announced the arrival of Pape Matar Sarr, in this case from Tottenham. The midfielder arrived on loan with an option to buy: “Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur FC for the acquisition, on a temporary basis until June 30, 2027, of the sporting rights of the player Pape Matar Sarr, for a fee of €2.5 million, plus ancillary costs of €0.3 million. The agreement also provides for the option—and, upon the fulfillment of certain conditions during the 2026–2027 season, the obligation—on the part of Juventus to acquire the player’s sporting rights on a permanent basis. The agreed-upon fee for the potential permanent acquisition is €27.5 million, payable over three fiscal years.

A bittersweet day for departures. Jonathan David has officially joined Atlético Madrid: Juventus announced “the temporary transfer, on a free transfer, until June 30, 2027, of the rights to the sporting services of the player Jonathan Christian David.” The agreement also grants Atlético Madrid the option to acquire the player’s sporting rights on a permanent basis. The agreed fee for a potential permanent transfer is €25 million, payable over four fiscal years.”

Another player surplus from the Bianconeri squad, however, remains in Turin for now: Teun Koopmeiners. According to Turkish media, Vincenzo Italiano’s Besiktas has made another approach (the club has already signed Fabio Miretti), but Juve CEO Carnevali reportedly rejected the offer. It’s possible the club will make another bid in the coming days, given that the Turkish transfer window doesn’t close until next Friday.
