Milan Transfer Market: The Rossoneri Set to Make a Push in January; Tomori’s Days Are Numbered

Milan hasn’t given up yet in the race to sign its dream defender, and will make another push in January. According to rumors reported by *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, the Rossoneri are mapping out strategies to sign Gonçalo Inacio, a 2001-born center back from Sporting and a true favorite of Ruben Amorim, who would like to bring him in during the next transfer window.

After Mario Gila, the Portuguese coach has settled for the current defense for the coming months but is pushing hard to secure the desired reinforcement this winter, during the January transfer window. The relationship between Amorim and Inacio could be the key to breaking Sporting’s resistance.

The one to make room for him this winter could be Fikayo Tomori himself, who was reinstated to the roster just a few days ago but remains at the bottom of the Portuguese coach’s pecking order. The Englishman’s departure is only postponed: if the right offer comes along in January, he’ll pack his bags and leave. Milan might settle for 6 million euros for the British center-back.
