Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as teammates—the dream could come true

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on the field together wearing the same jersey. What has always been a dream for many fans could become a reality, at least for one night. Carlos Tevez is making it happen; he’s organizing his farewell soccer match at La Bombonera, the historic home stadium of Boca Juniors.

The former Juventus forward, who has played alongside both Messi and Ronaldo during his career, would like to have both stars by his side for the celebratory event: “Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will be there. If necessary, I’ll go pick them both up myself. I have both of their contact info on WhatsApp,” Tevez said, hinting that he is serious about turning his final match into an unforgettable event.

The Argentine also plans to invite other soccer greats with whom he shared part of his career. Among the names mentioned are Andrea Pirlo and Gianluigi Buffon, as reported by the Portuguese newspaper A Bola. If the plan comes to fruition, La Bombonera could become, for one night, the stage for a match never seen before: Messi and Ronaldo on the same side of the field, alongside Tevez and other legends of world soccer.
