Alessandro Ramagli Surprised by His Players

Tezenis Verona finished in second place at the Garda Ball Elite tournament in Lonato. In the tournament final, the Verona team was defeated 86-78 by Dolomiti Energia Trentino, at the end of a fast-paced, high-intensity game. Trento managed the decisive moments of the game better, securing the victory and the trophy.

Beyond the result, Alessandro Ramagli drew important lessons from the matchup. The Verona coach highlighted, above all, the difficulty of facing a particularly physical and athletic team. In the second half, the coach also feared that the difference in available energy might take a greater toll, but instead received an encouraging response from his players.

““A very useful game—we faced a team with great physical and athletic presence that put us in a tough spot. In the second half, I expected us to struggle even more due to the difference in energy levels, but instead we played a better game,” he said.

Ramagli then analyzed Tezenis’s attempts at a comeback, highlighting the team’s ability to stay in the game despite missed opportunities and several absences that inevitably affected the rotations.

““We didn’t capitalize on the opportunities to try to close the gap, but I wasn’t disappointed that we didn’t give up and tried to get back into the game in various ways. Then, of course, we’re missing two key players in our rotations, and that means the rotations aren’t as effective as they should be,” he concluded.
