Turin Transfer Market: Simeone Speaks Candidly About His Future and Napoli

Torino forward Giovanni Simeone, speaking on the sidelines of an event in Naples, took stock of the team’s current situation and his future: “We don’t have any specific goals other than to grow as a team, and I’m not thinking about the future. In my mind, there’s only the present and Torino; we’re trying to pick up points because we need them.”

The Argentine forward was asked about a possible return to Napoli: “What if they called me back? I have lots of friends in Naples, and it was exciting. Turin is very different; the first year was a bit tougher for someone used to being in Naples. But I’m only thinking about Torino—I give my all for the team and will continue to do so.”

“We’ve developed a strong identity under Coach Abate, and we’re happy. There’s a long break coming up, so we’re doing everything we can to bring out the best in all the players.”

“El Cholito,” officially signed by Torino at the start of 2026, had been linked with River Plate in recent months, but the deal ultimately fell through.
