Nick Kyrgios takes everyone by surprise with his comments on Jannik Sinner

Nick Kyrgios is back talking about Jannik Sinner, and this time he’s doing so with surprisingly high praise. The Australian tennis player shared a social media story dedicated to the Italian No. 1, answering the question “Describe playing Sinner.”

Kyrgios’s assessment is clear: “One of the best ball-strikers the game has ever seen.” The Australian describes Sinner as a true “machine” from the baseline, highlighting his ability to turn defense into offense with any shot.

“He’s able to turn defense into offense with any shot,” writes Kyrgios, who identifies the serve as what he previously considered the Italian’s main weakness. However, he believes Sinner has significantly improved in this area: “His only real weakness was that his serve didn’t generate a huge number of free points; now it’s improved, and he’s one of the best precision hitters we have.”

Kyrgios then emphasizes just how difficult it is to face Sinner. The Italian is “hard to attack,” and, according to the Australian, he has also worked on his transition game and net play. His volleys, he explains, weren’t initially as natural as those of some of the best players, but Sinner has made progress in this fundamental aspect as well.

Another aspect highlighted by Kyrgios is his movement on the court, which is particularly impressive given the Italian’s height. “He moves well for someone who is surprisingly tall,” the Australian commented.
