Como vs. Roma ended in a 0-0 draw in the big match of Matchday 6 of Serie A. The draw was particularly welcome news for Inter, who were able to extend their lead over the Giallorossi to +2 and open up their first lead in the league. An intense match unfolded at Sinigaglia, with a fast pace from the opening minutes and several chances for both sides, but the second half was shaped by Malen’s ejection in the 52nd minute. With a numerical advantage, Como took control of the game and came close to scoring the winning goal several times, but was unable to get past Gollini.

The start was immediately lively, with the home team and Gasperini’s side both trying to impose their style of play. Malen immediately posed a threat, while Nico Paz, deployed on the left side of midfield, initially struggled to find the right position. Roma created their first real chance through Pellegrini, who hit the post, but as the minutes passed, play centered mainly in midfield, with close-quarters duels and exchanges.

Toward the end of the first half, the match picked up again, with two great opportunities for Caqueret and Malen. Neither team, however, managed to find the back of the net, and the teams went into halftime tied 0-0.

Gasperini tried to shake things up by bringing on Soulé, but in the 52nd minute, an incident occurred that changed the course of the match. Malen made a reckless challenge on Kaiki, and referee Fabbri showed him a red card, amid protests from the Giallorossi. Roma were reduced to ten men, and Como immediately tried to capitalize, but Perrone squandered a good chance by shooting over the bar.

The match took another turn when Fabbri was forced to leave the field due to injury, with Sozza taking his place. Once play resumed, it was mainly Como who dictated the pace, capitalizing on their numerical advantage. Douvikas narrowly missed the far post, while Nico Paz tested Gollini twice; the goalkeeper did well to keep his net untouched.

Como’s assault continued until the seventh minute of stoppage time, but the Roma defense held firm and the score remained unchanged. The match ends 0-0 at Sinigaglia, with Fabregas’s team remaining unbeaten in 12:30 p.m. matches and climbing to 11 points in the standings following a convincing performance. Roma, without Svilar, reaches 14 points and sees Inter pull ahead by two: for the Nerazzurri, this is their first attempt to break away in this Serie A season.
