Antonio Faravelli and Cantine Vitea Enter the World of Weddings

Li Gavio

Antonio Faravelli, the winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria in the Oltrepò Pavese region, is becoming increasingly at home in the world of fashion, elegance, and major events. Having successfully combined his passion for wine with his love of golf—and promoted the region’s finest products through sports—the Pavia-based entrepreneur is now preparing for a new venture that will showcase his Cantine Vitea winery in a highly prestigious setting.

The Montù Beccaria winery will, in fact, be the wine partner for the 31st edition of “Gli Sposi,” the Wedding Services Fair, scheduled for Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, in the splendid setting of Belgioioso Castle, in the province of Pavia.

This event brings together the worlds of weddings, fashion, and event planning, with over one hundred exhibitors ready to present ideas, services, and new offerings for future brides and grooms. In this particularly refined setting, the premium wines from Cantine Vitea will help highlight the connection between elegance, conviviality, and the quality of products from the Oltrepò Pavese region.

For Faravelli, this is yet another opportunity to take the name of his winery and the region beyond the traditional boundaries of the wine industry. The winemaker and golfer thus continues to forge a path in which wine takes center stage not only at the table but also at events centered on style, fashion, and social connections.

The event, under the artistic direction of Angelo Maroi, will kick off on Saturday, October 24, at 10 a.m. with the opening ceremony. At 11 a.m., a conference dedicated to weddings and tourism in Pavia is scheduled, while on Sunday, October 25, at 6 p.m., the Abitilda fashion show will take center stage, featuring wedding gowns, fashion, and live performances.
On both days, Belgioioso Castle will open its doors to visitors from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., offering a journey through wedding ideas, creativity, trends, and opportunities to meet industry professionals.

In this context, the presence of Cantine Vitea also represents a promotional opportunity for the wine industry of the Oltrepò Pavese, a region with a long winemaking tradition that can find significant visibility through the world of events and ceremonies.
