Giacomo Raspadori suffered an unusual injury, forcing him to leave the field in the first half of the Conference League match between Atalanta and Pafos. The former Napoli forward scored Atalanta’s second goal—making it 2-0—in the 20th minute on a penalty kick, but was unable to celebrate.

The player was injured while taking the penalty kick. After the shot, he collapsed to the ground as his teammates rushed over to celebrate with him and immediately asked to be substituted. There was nothing to be done: a muscle injury meant he had to be substituted.

De Ketelaere came on in his place; medical tests that Raspadori will undergo in the coming hours will clarify the extent of the injury suffered by the Sassuolo forward.

The Bergamo side ended the first half up 3-0: in addition to Raspadori, Elmas scored in the first minute of the match, and Scamacca scored just before halftime.
