Atalanta Scores Three Against Pafos in the Conference League

Atalanta defeated Pafos 3-1 in their opening match of the Europa League group stage. Elmas opened the scoring right away in the 1st minute off an assist from Raspadori, who then doubled the lead in the 18th minute on a penalty kick.
The former Napoli forward was injured while taking the penalty kick: after the shot, he collapsed to the ground as his teammates rushed over to celebrate with him and immediately asked to be substituted. There was nothing to be done: he had a muscle injury and was replaced. De Ketelaere came on in his place: medical tests that Raspadori will undergo in the coming hours will clarify the extent of the Sassuolo striker’s injury.
Toward the end of the first half, the home team scored their third goal, courtesy of Scamacca.
In the second half, Sarri’s team managed their energy, conceding a goal late in the match: Biel scored in the 88th minute, with Carnesecchi not quite at his best on that play.
