Jannik Sinner is completing his rehabilitation program to fully recover from his knee injury and return to the court at 100%. He’s aiming for a return in 2027, as the champion himself announced in a video posted on social media a few days ago: there’s still some time to wait, but patience is key to avoiding setbacks.

During the podcast *The Player’s Box*, American champion Madison Keys had this to say about Jannik Sinner’s injury: “He moves in a way that, if I did it, I’d break something right away. I mean, it’s not entirely surprising that his body has caught up with him.”

“His ability to cover the court, slide, stop, and change direction is one of the secrets to his success. I keep running until I end up in the stands, while Jannik somehow manages to come to a complete stop and is already moving toward the next ball,” said the 2025 Australian Open champion.

Madison Keys’ comments are essentially identical to those of Jessica Pegula: “I get the feeling that the way he moves isn’t normal. So I don’t think it’s that surprising that he might have some physical issues. Only Djokovic comes close, but Jannik looks like he’s skiing on a tennis court.”

“For long stretches this year, he seemed unbeatable. I hope he recovers soon. For a couple of years, I felt like he was unstoppable. Sometimes we always think no one will ever be able to beat him, and then something like this happens and we come back down to earth,” said the champion from Buffalo.
