Milan is considering how to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s roster ahead of the January transfer window. There are several positions the Portuguese coach would like to bolster, including the pool of right-backs. Currently, the Portuguese coach regularly fields Chukwueze, while the other fullback, Moreira, is often deployed on the left.

Among the options on the table for the Rossoneri management is a sensational return of Zachary Athekame from his loan at Lyon. The Swiss winger is making a name for himself in Ligue 1, where he has scored two goals and provided three assists in seven matches, proving crucial for Paulo Fonseca’s team.

Athekame arrived in France on a loan without an option to buy, and the Rossoneri are exploring ways to bring him back to Milanello immediately. The Swiss international is a top target for Amorim, who hopes to secure him right away rather than waiting until June. However, Milan will have to reach an agreement with Lyon, which will need to be persuaded with a transfer fee: according to *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, talks between the two clubs have already begun.

Last season at Milan, the Swiss player appeared in a total of 33 matches, scoring two goals and providing five assists. His market value is estimated at around 15 million euros.
