In Villasanta, soccer is seen as a tool for inclusion—and more. Filippo Galli is among the speakers

Soccer as a passion, a cultural phenomenon, a tool for inclusion, and an opportunity for social growth. These are the themes at the heart of “A Field for Everyone: The Other Side of Soccer,” the conference organized by the Nuovi Orizzonti Committee of Villasanta, in collaboration with Il Carro Impresa Sociale of Monza and COSOV Villasanta, which will take place on Saturday, October 24, starting at 9:30 a.m., at the Conference Hall of Villa Camperio in Villasanta.
This initiative marks the second edition of the “Sport is Integration” program, created with the goal of highlighting the educational, cultural, and social value of sports. This year, it addresses the topic of soccer in all its facets: from the opportunities offered by sports to its contradictions, from experiences in Paralympic and inclusive soccer to the realities of grassroots and community soccer.
The conference enjoys the prestigious patronage of the Lombardy Region, the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP), the Province of Monza and Brianza, and the Municipality of Villasanta—a testament to the importance and relevance of the topics being addressed.
Among the guests who have agreed to serve as speakers is Filippo Galli, a former AC Milan champion and current sports executive, who will discuss with sports and investigative journalists how the world of soccer has changed over the past decade.
Special attention will be given to the experiences of Paralympic and inclusive soccer, with testimonials from Powerchair Football, Blind Soccer, and other organizations that use soccer as a concrete tool for integration.
The discussion will then turn to how soccer serves as a tool for genuine social integration, with representatives from organizations such as Sant’Ambreous in Milan, the Scuola Popolare Darsena in Genoa, and Lokomotiv Ortomercato, who will engage in a discussion with Filippo Fenech, author of *Popolarissimo*, the first almanac of grassroots soccer.
“Un Campo per Tutti aims to be an opportunity for open dialogue among institutions, the sports world, community organizations, and citizens, to reflect on the role that soccer can play not only as a sporting and economic phenomenon, but above all as a tool for collective growth, integration, and community building. “Following the success of the first year, we are proud to have created this second opportunity for dialogue, which we hope will raise awareness among citizens and institutions about the role of sports as a tool for integration,” stated Davyd Andriyesh, president of Nuovi Orizzonti.
“A heartfelt thank you goes to Movimente, the Villasanta gym and main sponsor of the event, whose contribution made this conference possible. Support from local organizations is, in fact, a fundamental element in promoting initiatives capable of fostering a culture of sports, inclusion, and civic participation,” the press release issued by the organizers further states.
