Tezenis Scaligera Verona will have to deal with CJ Massinburg’s injury. The American guard, who was forced to leave Sunday’s game against Una Hotels Reggio Emilia, underwent medical examinations that revealed a minor injury to the soleus muscle in his right calf.

The Gialloblù club itself announced the news, noting that the player has already begun rehabilitation and that his condition will be monitored daily by the medical staff.

The club has not specified a date for his return to the court. For a muscle injury of this type, however, a typical absence of two to four weeks can be expected, with the exact timeline depending on how the injury progresses and her response to treatment. It cannot be ruled out that the medical staff will opt for a particularly cautious approach.

Massinburg’s history is also a cause for concern, as he had already dealt with several calf muscle issues last season while playing for Germani Brescia. A series of setbacks that disrupted his playing time makes it all the more important to carefully manage this new phase of recovery.

The injury also comes at a delicate time for the team coached by Alessandro Ramagli, which is already dealing with the absence of Izaiah Brockington. These two absences significantly reduce the options on the wings, despite the Verona team’s excellent start to the season.

For this very reason, the club is considering the possibility of making a move in the transfer market by signing an EU player, in order to expand the rotation and tackle upcoming matches without overburdening the available players.
