Important updates are coming out of the Milan infirmary on the day of the Rossoneri’s crucial Europa League away match against Bournemouth. Among those absent for the match in England are Gonçalo Ramos and Samuel Chukwueze, who underwent medical evaluations on Thursday to determine their recovery timelines following issues that arose in recent days.

As for the Portuguese forward, the MRI he underwent ruled out serious injuries, as the results came back negative. Nevertheless, the discomfort in his left calf has not subsided, and to better assess the extent of the strain, the Rossoneri medical staff will request a follow-up examination in the coming days.

The situation is different for Samuel Chukwueze, who was forced to sit out due to a problem with his left hip. The attacking winger underwent targeted injection therapy to alleviate the pain and will need to sit out for a period of time, with a new clinical evaluation scheduled within ten to fifteen days.

The absences of Gonçalo Ramos and Chukwueze come on top of the already known absences of Alexis Saelemaekers and Matteo Gabbia. The Belgian, who underwent ankle surgery on October 13, will remain sidelined at least until mid-March, while the defender, who suffered a muscle injury, will not be able to return before February.
