Milan, injury crisis: three more starters are sidelined. When will Rabiot and Moreira return?

Milan is in a state of total emergency ahead of Sunday’s away game in Udine. Rossoneri coach Ruben Amorim, who is already dealing with the absences of Gabbia, Saelemaekers, Chukwueze, and Pietro Terracciano, will have to do without three more players who have been near-constant starters in recent matches.
Adrien Rabiot, Diego Moreira, and Mario Gila are all on the injured list: all three players were sidelined during the final training session and will not be available for the match against the Bianconeri. This crisis comes at a crucial moment in the Rossoneri’s season, as they face three matches in the next seven days.
Rabiot has suffered calf strain, while Gila has inflammation in his left ankle due to overuse. Diego Moreira is also sidelined with a strained left flexor.
The conditions of all three players will be reevaluated in the coming days, with the hope of having them back for the midweek match against Bologna or for the derby against Inter scheduled for Saturday, October 31.
This crisis comes at a time when the team is already struggling in terms of results. In their most recent European outing, at Bournemouth, Milan was defeated 3-0 in a match they played with one fewer player from midway through the first half due to Mike Maignan’s actions. This setback highlighted the team’s psychological fragility; they appeared a far cry from the confident, proactive side that Amorim would like to see on the field. In the league, after all, it is often individual plays that yield goals and points, yet they fail to mask prolonged lapses, such as the one experienced in the final half-hour against Atalanta.
