Japan’s Yuto Katsuragawa won the Genesis Championship, the final event of the DP World Tour’s regular season, held at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club (par 71) in Cheonan, South Korea. The 28-year-old from Kiyosu finished with a total of 271 strokes (69, 68, 63, 71, -13), two strokes ahead of Frenchmen Frédéric Lacroix and Martin Couvra, who tied for second at 273 (-11).

For Katsuragawa, this is his second victory on the European Tour, following his win in 2024 at the ISPS Handa Championship. His list of achievements also includes two wins on the Japan Golf Tour and one on the Japan Challenge Tour. Starting the final round with a two-stroke lead over South African Casey Jarvis, the Japanese player managed his lead with a 71, the result of one birdie and one bogey.

This victory is particularly significant in terms of the Race to Dubai: Katsuragawa has jumped from 106th to 28th place, securing his card for 2027 and a spot in the season’s two final Playoffs. The first event will be the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship, scheduled for November 5–8 and reserved for the top 70 in the rankings, followed by the DP World Tour Championship, November 12–15, which will feature the top 50. The winner received a prize of $680,000 out of a total prize pool of four million.

Filippo Celli had a strong performance, finishing in fourth place with a total of 274 strokes (69, 66, 71, 68, -10), remaining among the leaders throughout the tournament. The Italian shared the spot with New Zealander Ryan Fox, Spaniard Jorge Campillo, Frenchman Antoine Rozner, South Koreans Wi Woo Kim and Sanghun Shin—the leader of the national tour—and South African Casey Jarvis.

In 11th place, with 275 (-9), were New Zealander Daniel Hillier and Indian Shubhankar Sharma, while Spaniard Eugenio Chacarra, leader of the Race to Dubai, finished 22nd with 278 (-6).

Among the other Italians, Gregorio De Leo finished in 22nd place with 278 strokes (-6). Matteo Manassero and Francesco Laporta tied for 45th place with 282 (-2), while Renato Paratore finished 54th with 284 (par). Stefano Mazzoli missed the cut, finishing 80th with 145 (+3).

The Genesis Championship, organized in collaboration with the Korean Tour, also determined the top 100 finishers in the Race to Dubai, who earned the right to play on the DP World Tour in 2027 through Category 10.
