Serie A: Gaspar Suspended, Lecce Faces Hefty Fine

The Disciplinary Committee has issued disciplinary measures following the eighth matchday of the league season. Only one player has been suspended: Kialonda Gaspar, who was sent off in the final seconds of the match against Juventus due to an accumulation of yellow cards. The Lecce center back will have to sit out two matches.
A €1,500.00 fine was imposed on Domenico Berardi, who—evidently frustrated by the result during the match against Como—addressed the referee with some unkind words.
A total of five clubs were fined: Lecce paid the heaviest fine, while Udinese, Cagliari, Lazio, and Parma were also sanctioned. The reasons are as follows:
A fine of €15,000.00: to LECCE for its supporters having thrown six smoke bombs onto the field during the match—forcing the referee to delay the resumption of play on multiple occasions—and six smoke bombs into the playing area; Penalty reduced pursuant to Art. 29, paragraph 1, letter b) of the CGS.
Fine of €3,000.00: imposed on UDINESE for repeatedly directing offensive chants at a player from the opposing team during the match.
Fine of €2,000.00: imposed on CAGLIARI on the grounds of strict liability, for having unjustifiably caused a one-minute delay in the start of the first half.
Fine of €2,000.00: imposed on LAZIO on the grounds of strict liability for having unjustifiably caused a one-minute delay in the start of the first half.
Fine of €2,000.00: imposed on PARMA on the grounds of strict liability for having unjustifiably caused a one-minute delay in the start of the first half.
