Daniele Adani lashes out at Massimiliano Allegri on *Domenica Sportiva*: the RAI commentator took aim at the Napoli coach over the Azzurri’s difficult start to the season and his heated post-game comments following the last match against Roma.

“If Amorim or Spalletti had managed this season, they’d have been kicked out by now. He has journalist friends; he has half as many points as Gattuso.”

After the match against the Giallorossi, Allegri reportedly said, “Last year at Roma, they had the Champions League in the bag,” referring to last season’s run, when he was still at Milan. “If he really said that, he needs to apologize,” Adani retorts. “That’s pathetic. It’s disrespectful to Roma, to Gasperini, to the fans—and to soccer. We know him. He likes to be sarcastic, even when it’s out of place. Like now. If I were him, I’d be thinking about Napoli.”

Adani then returns to taking aim at the Livorno-born coach for his style of play: “Allegri’s brand of soccer is over. Let’s just say it. Enough with the antics at press conferences. Enough with the nonsense. Taking off his jacket, the final scuffle when the game goes south. It’s always the same script. Don’t believe anyone who tells you Napoli isn’t strong—because it’s a lie!”

Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned Allegri with a fine and a two-match suspension, “for having, in the 45th minute of the second half, directed an insulting gesture toward the match officials, and for having, furthermore, in the locker room, directed a seriously disrespectful remark at them and adopted an aggressive attitude toward an official from the opposing team.” During the Napoli-Roma match, which ended 3-3, the coach first took his frustration out on the fourth official, then on referee Sacchi, and finally on Gian Piero Gasperini.
