Cristiano Ronaldo thunders in press conference, “I’m not finished”
Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo vindicates his choice to go to Saudi Arabia: “Many people in Europe sought me out, but I had nothing more to prove.”
Cristiano Ronaldo was unveiled as Al Nassr’s new player at Mrsool Park stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese forward, accompanied by partner Georgina Rodriguez, seemed very determined and claimed his choice.
“I am happy with this challenge, I was very well received. I played for big clubs and won everything, in Europe my job was over, I had nothing more to prove and it was time for this opportunity in Asia. It is a challenge for me, for the future, for the boys and women in this part of the world.”
Ronaldo, who assures that the family is happy (“They are happy too, especially my children. They are really happy, the reception yesterday was exciting”), explained his goal: “As I said, it is not only a challenge at the football level, but also to change the mentality of the new generations. Several clubs, in Europe, America, Australia, Brazil and Portugal tried to get me, but I had given my word to this club.”
“It is not the end of my career to come here,” highlighted CR7. I don’t think about what people say: I have made my decision and I am happy to be here. I know the league is very competitive: everyone says no, but I have seen several matches. I am ready to continue enjoying myself.”
