Letizia Paternoster leaves opponents no chance

In the theater of Cali, Colombia, the second day of the track cycling Nations Cup was staged. After the success in the men’s team pursuit the previous day, came the fine affirmation of Letizia Paternoster, who won the women’s individual pursuit race.
The athlete from Trentino got the better of Australian Samantha Donnelly, who challenged her in the last act. The Italian even bettered her time in the final, clearly beating her opponent.
The Italian champion then came close to a first-place finish in the elimination race, the same one that had given her world gold in Roubaix 2021: in this case Paternoster had to bow to U.S. Jennifer Valente, already an Olympic gold medalist in the Omnium.
