Lautaro Martinez punishes Milan: the derby belongs to Inter Milan
Milan’s complicated period continues: the Rossoneri came out defeated in the derby due to Lautaro Martinez’s goal, scored in minute 34. Bad in the first half, better in the second: for the Rossoneri it is the fourth consecutive defeat.
Pioli’s band approached the match poorly and in the first minutes the Nerazzurri came close to scoring on several occasions: Tatarusanu was good on a couple of occasions but could do little about Lautaro Martinez’s header that unlocked the score. The Rossoneri struggled to build play but entered the field with more conviction in the second half.
The entrance of Rafael Leao shook up the Diavolo a bit: the Portuguese after a breakaway of his own served Giroud, who missed his stop in the box and gobbled up a very tasty chance. Of note were the two goals canceled out for Inter in the second half: the first to Lukaku not validated for a foul by the Belgian, the second to Lautaro Martinez for offside. The challenge came alive but the result did not change.
