F1 Ferrari: new rumors about Leclerc-Hamilton swap
From England come more rumors about the possible rotation between the two big disappointments of the early season. Leclerc and Hamilton
The nightmarish start of Ferrari and Mercedes in the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship has sparked all sorts of rumors about the future of the two most disappointed stars of this early season, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
The seven-time world champion from the height of his palmarés had no qualms in thundering against the German team after the flop of the W14, currently the fourth force in the championship even behind Aston Martin, while the driver from the Principality, who retired in Bahrain, made his discontent clear in a more indirect way, asking for a meeting with John Elkann to talk about what is happening in Maranello.
According to various British media, and in particular Sky Sport Uk, Lewis Hamilton is ready to leave Mercedes at the end of the year if the car does not prove to be competitive: and high on the list of the British driver’s preferences for next season would be Ferrari, which has sought him out so many times in the past.
To make room for Hamilton in the red stable would be Leclerc himself, in an exchange between disappointed drivers that would be sensational.
