Fiorentina, Commisso categorical: “They can criticize me all they want, but I’m not changing my mind”

Fiorentina, Rocco Commisso blunt: “I’ve made my decision and I’m not changing my mind: I’m not selling!”

During an interview with CBSnews microphones, Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso spoke out on his team’s momentum and also wanted to respond in kind to the criticism he has suffered.

“They can’t kick me out of here. They think that by criticizing me they will do away with me, but I have now made my decision and I intend to keep my word. I have no intention of selling. I want to be known here in Florence as that guy who despite being successful never changed and always remained humble,” the Viola patron began.

“When I arrived, I set three conditions: try to become competitive again as quickly as possible, pay attention to economic sustainability by trying to make ends meet, and maintain a certain kind of control. Should those conditions be met then everything works and I will continue to invest,” added the American executive.

“With the players I have a wonderful relationship. My job is to embrace them and motivate them in the hope that they can do better the next time,” Commisso concluded.
