MotoGp, Ducati: Alex Marquez admits some nervousness
Day with two faces for Alex Marquez
It was a real day with two faces that Alex Marquez experienced on Friday. The Team Gresini rider, at his first race weekend in Ducati, surprised everyone in the first free practice session by getting the best time, except for scaling back in FP2 (conditioned by the red flag for Pol Espargaró’s accident), a session in which Marc’s brother did not go beyond 11th position.
“Overall it was a positive day, we just missed the last cue to be in Q2,” Alex Marquez told Team Gresini’s official channels. “We missed the perfect lap and I know that’s something I need to improve on. It was the first day of the season and maybe there was an extra edge of nervousness. We have to improve a little bit in terms of strategy, but it’s absolutely normal on a Friday of the first Grand Prix.”
