Reggio Emilia, Sakota: “In Venice with courage.”
Unahotels Reggio Emilia coach: “Our mentality does not change.”
Reggio Emilia coach Dragan Sakota presented Sunday’s match against Venezia at the Pala Taliercio: “We are about to face another away challenge on a very difficult court and against a Reyer Venezia that, roster in hand, is undoubtedly among the best-equipped teams in the entire A Series. This is demonstrated by the fact that, beyond the league, they are doing very well in the Eurocup.”
Sakota calls for courage from his team: “It won’t be an easy challenge for us, but our mentality doesn’t change: we are in the fight and we want to try every time we take the court to win crucial points in the salvation fight. Doing it for the second consecutive time away can be a great opportunity for us to seize. Venice has a deep and absolute level staff, with a good balance between inside players like Watt and Tessitori and athletes on the perimeter like Bramos or Granger, as well as a successful coach like Spahija. We have great respect for them, but no fear: we want to play it, play a game of personality and heart.”
