Inter, increasingly dark future for Simone Inzaghi
Inter, in case of Inzaghi’s immediate exoneration, Chivu’s name is gaining momentum
Three consecutive league defeats have greatly complicated Inter’s championship and Simone Inzaghi’s position. In fact, the Nerazzurri have slipped to fifth place in the standings outside the Champions League zone and the former Lazio coach’s stay would seem increasingly difficult, to the point that the management would be contemplating a separation even before the end of the season.
As reported by “La Gazzetta dello Sport,” the matches with Juventus in the Coppa Italia and the Champions League doubleheader with Benfica will be crucial for the future of the coach from Piacenza. Should the set goals not be achieved, the Marotta-Ausilio duo would be considering entrusting the technical management of the first team to Christian Chivu, current manager of the Primavera team, until the end of the season.
Looking ahead to the summer, there would be two main profiles being observed namely Antonio Conte and Roberto De Zerbi.
