“Cautious optimism” for Silvio Berlusconi, who has been hospitalized since last Wednesday in intensive care at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan for a lung infection due to chronic leukemia.
The hospital issued a statement signed by Alberto Zangrillo in which it updated on the condition of the Monza patron: “In the last 48 hours there has been a progressive and constant improvement of the monitored organ functions. Cytoreductive, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory therapies are producing the expected results, allowing us to express cautious optimism. President Silvio Berlusconi remains hospitalized in intensive care.” No further bulletins will be issued during the day.
